See it on yourself.
If you are buying apparel, why should you only see the design on someone else?
VLCANO is being built so you can visualize apparel on yourself instead of relying only on traditional model mockups.
Creating custom apparel meant jumping between different platforms just to turn one idea into a finished product.
I kept asking one question:
Why isn’t all of this connected?
That question became VLCANO.
The custom apparel industry is full of useful tools, but most of them live in separate worlds.
Every step adds friction.
VLCANO was created around a simple idea:
Connect the entire journey.
If you are buying apparel, why should you only see the design on someone else?
VLCANO is being built so you can visualize apparel on yourself instead of relying only on traditional model mockups.
If you need something by a certain date, you should not have to call shop after shop hoping someone has the right equipment and availability.
VLCANO connects orders with print partners based on location, capability, availability and turnaround.
Someone with a heat press, embroidery machine, printer or other equipment should not need to build an entire traditional print shop just to earn from it.
VLCANO gives independent makers another way to put their equipment and skills to work.
Designers should be able to earn from their work without buying inventory or becoming a fulfillment company.
Their creativity should be enough to participate.
Starting an apparel brand should not require thousands of dollars in stock before the first customer ever orders.
VLCANO connects selling to on-demand production.
A lot of modern fulfillment is centralized.
Orders move toward large companies, warehouses and production centers.
At the same time, everyday people already own equipment, know how to print, know how to design and are looking for ways to earn more.
I wanted VLCANO to move some of that opportunity in the other direction.
Instead of asking: “How do we build another giant fulfillment center?”
VLCANO asks:
“How do we connect the people and resources that already exist?”
VLCANO connects those pieces through one apparel network.
I want its growth to create opportunity for the people participating in it.
And as VLCANO grows, the goal is to give the people helping build the network opportunities to participate in its ownership too.
Everyday people should have a chance to benefit from what they help build.
VLCANO was created to connect an industry that had been separated into pieces — and to move more of the opportunity back toward the people who create, sell and make the products.
The technology connects the network.
The people make it valuable.
